Nâm Serenity Retreat

In Andalusia, Níjar

Life has a myriad of ways to guide itself towards unconditional well-being. Meditation helps to open to the deeper and wider layers of living and to share in the more subtle resonances that life has to offer. A Nâm harmonising Serenity Retreat is an elegant and graceful way to explore and experience this ‘listening to life’.

Being occupied with daily life often leaves little space to allow new impulses and inspiration to filter through. Bringing the usual patterns of living to a stand-still in a beautiful, new and tranquil environment is profoundly beneficial, strengthened by meditation practices and wonderfully deepened by the living presence of a Sage.

The Garden of Nâm Living is carried and inspired by the life and works of Yoginâm who lives in an adjacent hermitage. Rather than talking about the Human potential Yoginâm writes books and texts that ignite spiritual opening and support seekers on their quest. A more direct way of communication is allowing people to share in HarpMood. This sharing brings about a natural remembering of the essence from which the human potential sprouts.

During the Nâm Serenity Retreat and after a day of settling down and acclimatisation in the peaceful environment of the Garden of Nâm you are invited to share in these harmonising live HarpMood sessions every morning and every evening during the next two days. In between you’ll experience the Asha meditation in which an ancient repercussion technique allows you to surrender to Silence easier and without years of practice. Meditation is a practise of not-doing.

Participating in a harmonising Serenity Retreat is a unique opportunity to explore the potential and miracle of living.  In between the meditations and meals and in an atmosphere of tranquillity you can relax, dwell and enjoy being in the Garden. Staying in the Garden of Nâm Living means unplugging in a safe and serene environment, surrounded by the beauty of the Andalusian landscape. The caretakers handle practical needs so that you can focus without distraction.

‘’A state of Awe and Wonder infuses daily life circumstances with meaning and joy, like a love play with peace and wisdom that somehow miraculously appear within reach’’

Features

Atmosphere of Silence

The Serenity Retreat retreat has a focus on silence during the HarpMood days. As a general pattern, participants minimise communication and put their digital devices aside. We encourage you to limit impulses and expressions, creating space for silence to take over. The caretakers will facilitate this orientation.

HarpMood

HarpMood is a unique meditation experience. A state of meditation is more than simply being silent. The mind tends to remain active. All kinds of unseen habits and emotions can become clearer through meditation. The presence of Yoginâm with HarpMood is helpful and supportive.

The sounds in the HarpMood reflect the state of those present. Making use of different moods in tuning the harp, Yoginâm guides the participants in such a way that hidden barriers are invited to surface and dissolve. A Nâm Serenity Retreat provides a safe environment to ignite a harmonising process.

Asha Meditation

The daily rhythm with its silence, regular meditations and meals, sets the stage for the yet unknown to emerge. Unique techniques, such as using a rattle to influence brain frequency, guide you into meditative states.

Meditation Programme

The Enchanting Garden and Walking Meditation

The Nâm Retreat & Meditation Centre is nestled in a splendid and spacious garden, consisting of 8 terraces on varying heights, all interconnected with stairways and meandering paths. This ecological and edible park boasts over 200 native and exotic trees, including olives, citrus, nuts, and banana trees, along with a rich variety of plants and flowers.

Enjoy a scenic walk with breathtaking views of the mountains and distant Mediterranean Sea. The garden harmonises with principles of permaculture, fostering a balance between nature’s voice and the human need for healthy sustenance.

An eyecatcher in the garden is a big triangle shaped staircase called the Triad of Being. This isn’t just a symbolic structure; it’s a potent instrument for contemplation and personal transformation. It is designed by Yoginâm as a vehicle for realising the true nature of being human. The Triad serves as a focal point during the Meditation Walk in the garden. For whom is this retreat?

  • This retreat is open to everyone. The retreat is called serene for its focus on harmonising more refined layers of resonance in being and remembrance of a natural state of peace. All unnecessary decoration is left out in order to provide the authentic opportunity. Whether this is your first encounter with meditation, or you are more experienced, we invite you to join and open. The rhythm is set up in such a way that it will carry you gently through habitual difficulties that prevent silence and true meditation.
  • A harmonising Nâm Serenity Retreat does not work with dogmas, truths, or systems that need believing. Being rooted in Human Nature, Nâm Living is completely compatible with all pro-life ways of living.
