Retreat Spain – Living from Your Heart
When you live from your heart, you are naturally in harmony with circumstances. You can move more easily with the flow of life. You experience more peace of mind, contentment and joy. Would you like to live more from your heart? Then we warmly invite you to join us for the retreat in Spain.
Do you recognize this too? That you’re ‘too much’ in your head? That there’s an abundance of thoughts, and you can barely find the stop button? All those overtime thoughts lead to restlessness and a feeling as if you’re not truly connected with yourself and others. To experience that connection again and find peace in your head, it’s essential to reconnect in our heart.
The Eastern Vision of Living from Your Heart
In Zhineng Qigong we often talk about ‘Yi Yuan Ti’. We often translate this as your clear consciousness, your true self. The beautiful thing is that when you literally translate the Chinese characters, it actually says ‘standing in heart’. Also in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Heart is given a central role. Here resides the ‘Shen’, your spirit/soul, or the light in your eyes. The Shen is responsible for your consciousness, emotions, vitality, and clear eyes. A calm Shen leads to a peacefully nourished heart, to joy and inner peace.
Retreat Spain – What Does the Program Look Like?
The Spain retreat invites you in every way to live more from your heart. In the Qigong lessons we take up exercises that support you in this. We explore how we can bring our ‘Shen’ home again with gentle movement, chant and introspection. Additionally, we align with the rhythm of meditation as it takes place daily at this location. There are periods of silence. But of course there is also exchange, connection, and we make an excursion to the beach.
Asha Meditation
We stay at a place where three Asha meditations take place daily. Asha Meditation is a form of meditation where a period of rhythmic drum sound alternates with an (equally long) period of silence. The rhythm helps to prepare your mind for the actual meditation, a period of silence.
Silence Periods
In the ‘Garden of Nâm’, not only is there regular meditation. Daily periods of silence are observed. Silence is a powerful instrument to be in connection with yourself again. In the beginning it can feel a bit strange, but we often hear from people that the periods of silence contributed to an unexpected deepening.

Who Is This Spain Retreat For?
This retreat is suitable for everyone who would like to live more from their heart. This Spain retreat offers a period of rest, relaxation, reflection and deepening. It is suitable for both beginning and advanced Qigong practitioners.
Teachers: Wabke en Mathilde
Wabke
Wabke has focused her life for more than 20 years on applying the principles of LivingNâm in daily life. Later, Qigong came onto her path as a method that clarifies the connection between body and mind and helps to come into greater harmony. In LivingNâm terms, we call this better managing the four dimensions of ‘I/World’.
Mathilde
Mathilde has practiced meditation and Qigong for many years and is inspired by various spiritual teachers. Increasingly, she teaches from the awareness that we are essentially an expression of life itself, and that when we start trusting in that again, we naturally relax more and can move from ‘doing’ to ‘being’.
The Garden of Nâm – A Beautiful Place for This Retreat in Spain
During the Spain retreat we stay at the Garden of Nâm. In this beautiful place, a retreat center with an organic garden has emerged over the past few years. A small group of residents lives here as much as possible in attunement and maintains a daily meditation rhythm. In the Qigong retreat there is the opportunity to join in this rhythm.
The Garden of Nâm is a place where residents and guests are invited to explore how to live optimally. The guiding principle for this journey of discovery is ‘Living Nâm’.
Living Nâm is based on an unknowable all-encompassing reality (or unity) that underlies all expressions of human life. In ‘One’ there is no distinction and no boundaries exist. This means that when we explore what we are as human beings, we discover that we are inextricably connected in this whole and we contribute to this whole.
When we consciously integrate this understanding into our daily life, we naturally experience more harmony, connection, contentment and well-being. Because when you take good care of the other and your environment, you take good care of yourself.
Living Nâm offers an ethic and vocabulary to translate the common thread found in all spiritual traditions into life in this era.
Yoginâm
The founder of Living Nâm is Yoginâm. This mystic dedicates his life entirely to living in Nâm and sharing what this implies. Yoginâm lives in Nïjar Monastery opposite the Garden. For those who wish, there is the possibility to receive a live Harpmood or healing from Yoginâm.
