The Essence of Meditation course offers a concentrated opportunity to reconnect with the essence of being.
Staying in the Garden of Nâm Living means unplugging in a safe and serene environment, surrounded by the beauty of the Andalusian landscape. During this intensive journey of profound inward exploration you will become familiar with Asha Meditation, Walking Meditation and Breath Meditation. To support meditation on a deeper level, we also use HarpMood which is a form of communication that happens beyond words. The sounds of the harp played in this very special way can touch the essence of what we are and transform the veils that cover it.

Meditation Techniques
- Breath meditation: Focusing on breathing or the Breath only.
- Asha meditation: Instead of looking at the waves, you dive deep and discover the silence in the depths of the ocean.
- Walk meditation: Involving the whole body in meditation.
The Breath
The Breath is the most precious instrument that facilitates remembering. The Breath replaces the sometimes obsessive inner dialogue and replaces it with a one-pointed attention which is not directed at a concept or an object, but at one’s unknowable essence.
HarpMood
HarpMood is a unique meditation experience. A state of meditation is more than simply being silent. The mind tends to remain active. All kinds of unseen habits and emotions can become clearer through meditation. The presence of Yoginâm with HarpMood is helpful and supportive.
The sounds in the HarpMood reflect the state of those present. Making use of different moods in tuning the harp, Yoginâm guides the retreat days in such a way that hidden barriers are invited to surface and dissolve. A Nâm Meditation Retreat provides a safe environment to ignite a transformative process.
Retreat Programme
During the Essence of Meditation Course each day you will follow a concentrated rhythm of meditations. Each meditation lasts about half an hour. Refined ancient techniques calm the brain activity and invite a state of inner silence. These techniques are simple and have a strong impact.
10.00 – 10.30 Asha Meditation *
10.30 – 11.30 Integration, with attention to how to continue at home, and conclusion
Each day of the retreat includes:
Two HarpMood meditations* (more about HarpMood here), guided by Yoginam using the Harp as an instrument that allows to share in deeper states of meditation and Attunement.
- One session of monastic Recitation, guided by well trained and experienced Nâm Monastics
- A walking meditation through the enchanting Garden of Nâm Living
Accomodation:
There are a variety of rooms that offer different degrees of luxury. All rooms are simple and elegant in classical Andalusian style. The basic rooms have a bed, chair, desk, closet, sink and fountain. The more luxury rooms are larger and include a private shower and toilet. All rooms are comfortable, offer privacy and are connected to the beautiful gardens and terraces.
The Enchanting Garden of Nâm and the Walking Meditation
Our meditation centre is nestled in a splendid and spacious garden, consisting of eight terraces on varying heights, all interconnected with stairways and meandering paths. This ecological and edible park boasts over 200 native trees, including olives, citrus, nuts, and banana trees, along with a variety of plants and flowers.
Enjoy a scenic walk with breathtaking views of the mountains and the distant Mediterranean Sea. The garden harmonises with principles of permaculture, fostering a balance between nature’s voice and the human need for healthy sustenance.
