Many people think that meditation and being silent is difficult. In this 4-day course we explore and experience the simplicity of practicing meditation and invite silence.
You will be introduced to different ways of meditation and regain insights that provide a base for improvement in daily life. Enriching relationships, empowering decisions and infusing a sense of clarity, presence and purpose. You’ll be better able to remember that peace and wisdom are natural and always somehow within reach.

Meditation Techniques
- Breath meditation: focusing on breathing “the Breath”.
- Asha meditation: Instead of looking at the waves, you dive deep and discover the silence in the depths of the ocean.
- Walk meditation: Involving the whole body in meditation.
The Breath
The Breath is the most precious instrument that facilitates remembering. The Breath replaces the sometimes obsessive inner dialogue and replaces it with a one-pointed attention which is not directed at a concept or an object, but at one’s unknowable essence.
HarpMood
HarpMood by Yoginâm is a unique experience. A state of meditation is more than simply being silent. The mind tends to remain active. By HarpMood all kinds of unseen habits and emotions can become clear.
The sounds in the HarpMood reflect the state of those present. Making use of different moods in tuning the harp guide the participants in such a way that hidden barriers are invited to surface and dissolve in meditation.
Retreat Programme
During the Essence of Meditation Course each day you will follow a balanced rhythm of instructions, meals, free time and meditations. Each meditation lasts about half an hour. Please click below on the specific day to see the intended schedule.
10.00 – 10.30 Asha Meditation *
10.30 – 11.30 Integration, with attention to how to continue at home, and conclusion
Each day of the retreat includes:
A HarpMood meditation to share in deeper states of meditation and Attunement.
- Three session of Asha meditation, one with use of a rattle and two with the sound of the drum.
- A walking meditation through the Garden of Nâm
- Introduction, guided instruction and basic practise of Breath meditation.
Accomodation:
There are a variety of rooms that offer different degrees of luxury. All rooms are simple and elegant in classical Andalusian style. The basic rooms have a bed, chair, desk, closet, sink and fountain. The more luxury rooms are larger and include a private shower and toilet. All rooms are comfortable, offer privacy and are connected to the beautiful gardens and terraces.
The Enchanting Garden of Nâm
Our meditation centre is nestled in a beautiful and spacious garden, consisting of eight terraces on varying heights, all interconnected with stairways and meandering paths. This ecological and edible park boasts over 200 native trees, including olives, citrus, nuts, and banana trees, along with a variety of plants and flowers.
Enjoy a scenic walk with breathtaking views of the mountains and the distant Mediterranean Sea. The garden harmonises with principles of permaculture, fostering a balance between nature’s voice and the human need for healthy sustenance.
Résumé
You will become familiar with Asha Meditation, Walking Meditation and Breath Meditation. To support meditation on a deeper level, we use HarpMood which is a form of communication that happens beyond words. The sounds of the harp played in this very special way can touch the essence of what we are and transform the veils that cover it.
In the sessions, you will receive practical exercises and meditations to continue practicing at home. At home exercises can range from short ten-minute meditations to longer sessions, depending on your comfort and time.
